Foundation
On September 15, 2000, a new community of five houses was formed, namely, Hotel-Dieu, Tracadie, Le-Royer Residence, Sainte- Rose group, Saint Simon and the Marie de la Ferre community in Brantville. Sister Rolande Dugas served as Superior.

Mission
Centered on Christ, the Sisters participate in the missionas Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph by witnessing the freedom of the children of God and union of hearts in their Community life, hospitality to others and in their apostolic commitments.

Today
Ten RHSJ live in this community and are engaged in various community and Congregation services (museum, sharing committee, translation, coordination of Associates). Others are engaged in pastoral care ministry at the hospital and to home-bound persons as well as participating on various Boards of Directors.Three Sisters remain present in Saint-Simon while being members of the Saint Joseph Community. They are committed to visiting the home bound,and serve on various parish committees. One Sister is a pastoral care worker at the Caraquet hospital.
